ABOVE THE FOLD - WEBSITE

Cinema Slash

Cinema Slash is a horror movie blog, usually posting movie recommendations.

Client

Problem

They wanted to make a good first impression on their website visitors. And wanted to reduce the bounce rate of the home page.

Solution & Strategy

To get visitors' attention and get them to stay on the website. I had to rework the above-the-fold section of the homepage.

Here, the benefit used in the heading is - to get nightmares. I know it's contradictory. But people usually watch horror movies with the intention of getting scared. Or in an extreme case, to get nightmares.

In the subheading, the analogy used was of a vampire. And that’s why, included terms like “dig your teeth” and “satiate your hunger”

Lastly, added an action oriented CTA starting with the verb “Pick”.
